Laser hair reduction uses light energy absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft to heat and disable the follicle. Triple-wavelength diode lasers (755, 808 and 1064 nm) treat different hair depths and are safe across Fitzpatrick skin types III–VI.

Because hair grows in cycles, a course of sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart is needed to catch each follicle in the active anagen phase.

Is it permanent?

It provides permanent reduction. A few fine hairs may regrow, especially with hormonal conditions, managed with occasional top-ups.

Does it work on white or grey hair?

No — laser needs pigment in the hair. Electrolysis is an alternative.

Can I wax between sessions?

No. Waxing removes the root the laser targets. Shaving is fine.
